Marnus Labuschagne Left Out from Australian ODI Lineup Against Team India
The Australian selectors have left out Labuschagne from Australia's three-game ODI series against India, with high-performing Queensland teammate Matt Renshaw earning a surprise call-up.
Recent Form Lead to Omission
Labuschagne has been omitted from the one-day international side following managing only a single run in both of his innings during the recent series against South Africa in August. He has a top score of forty-seven in his most recent ten ODI batting appearances.
The 31-year-old has played 68 one-day internationals and amassed 1,871 ODI runs at an batting average of 34.64 runs per dismissal, but will now continue to press his claims a Test team comeback ahead of the Ashes starting in Perth on November 21.

“The bulk of the T20 squad will stay as a group as it’s an crucial phase in the preparation for the T20 World Cup next year, however we are trying to strike a balance to ensure we simultaneously get ready specific players for the Test series ahead.”
Australia’s three-match ODI series against India begins on 19 October in Perth, before the rivals play five T20s from 29 October.
