Paramount Skydance Set to Cut Approximately 2,000 American Positions – Update

Paramount Skydance plans to initiate large-scale job cuts beginning on 27 October, eliminating approximately 2,000 US jobs under a budget-saving initiative totaling $2bn overseen by CEO David Ellison.

These job cuts follow the merger between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed in August valued at $8.4bn.

More international job cuts are expected, with Paramount Skydance aiming to disclose all specifics via its third quarter earnings report set for the 10th of November.

Previous updates suggested the company planned to cut between 2,000 to 3,000 positions by early November.

By December 2024, the organization retained almost 18,600 full- and part-time employees and 3,500 project-based staff.

The company has not yet commented regarding the report.
